Seward, Alaska generally brings thoughts of clouds, rain, and cool weather. A lot of the time, this is the case. However, we lucked out in mid July and got an unbelievably beautiful day. Our group of 6 went out on a small craft whale watching tour - and I can confirm there are whales out there! I've taken several of the large boat tours and they are nice in their own way. However, this small craft tour was out of this world! Our tour was handled by Northern Latitude Adventures and they are well worth a look. We went in to coves, got up close with sea others, and spent half an hour just watching this humpback whale feed.
